POSITION: We are looking for a hands-on FinTech Business Analyst who will contribute take over  Product Owner roles handling to the the analysis, the ideation and specification processthe product, features and priorities management, as well as the reporting and quality assurance for our bank compliance, KYC, payments, telecom and other digitisation/API products and projects. A genuine interest and relevant product/project experience in digital KYCbank and telecom payment processes and/or API/FinTech products/platforms for regulated entities would be an advantage, ideally with an IT/engineering/IT or similar background. Working closely with product management and UI/UX experts as a member of our product team, we expect you to understand and to be proficient at analysing non-digital workflows and processes and be able to determine, describe and define the most suitable digital improvement strategies, leveraging Finologee’s products and componentsAnother requirement for this position would be your ability to apply agile methodologies and carry out related steps and processes meeting industry best practices, in close collaboration with our development, testing and delivery teams.

With us you will…

  • Handle product ownership roles for KYC, payments, bank compliance and other digital B2B products,  with definitions, priority setting & lifecycle management: analyse, define and apply suitable features and strategies starting with the product architecture, deep-dive into existing processes and practices and propose suitable digital implementations meeting both users’/clients’ needshandle ideation and supervise implementation stages with product managers and UI/UX designers as well as product sponsors, iterate proposalschallenge and validate with internal stakeholders and client representatives, draft and manage epics and user storiesassist project and product managers and UI/UX experts in their respective roles and tasks, and finally facilitate the running of day-to-day operations with regards to the company’s products 
  • Be the product team’s ambassador and work closely with our development and testing teamsdevelop scope and define backlog itemsdraft epics and user stories and relevant documentation and specificationswrite appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teamsdefine and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementationtake part in the agile processes and ceremonies, contribute to evaluating and monitoring priorities and efforts both with the development and the product team, handle complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments, assess deliverables and write documentation, draft and manage reports for relevant stakeholders and departments 
  • Assist with project-related activities: both with our clients and internally, to successful completion, including ensuring the delivery of projects on time and on budget 

What we expect from you…

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or an equivalent experience (e.g. from positions in the tech industry or with SaaS products/projects), a solid understanding at tech level is a must 
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in business analysis in the digital industry, in e-business, in new generation financial services or similar 
  • Being familiar with SCRUMa SCRUM product owner certification would be an advantage  
  • A good understanding of modern digital product/interface design and architecture as well as about the benefits and challenges of a financial industry regulation-compliant SaaS IT infrastructure: we use Figma for UI design and management, Angular for front-end development, and we rely on a private cloud Kubernetes cluster infrastructure 
  • A solid knowledge of KYC/AML processes, regulation and related digitisation challengesbank/business/telecom payments infrastructures and products, and/or IT outsourcing challenges and regulation applying to the Luxembourg financial sector would be considered an asset (but are not mandatory) 
  • know-how and real interest in process and UX optimisation using digital channels for the financial industry 
  • Languages: good command of English – French would be an advantage – and solid writing skills  
  • Desire to work in a fast-pacedinnovation-driven companyworking with the company’s founderswith genuine accountability for tasks and projects
